    How does volunteering work?

    Dannon originally set up Eastleigh Pride and returns every year to help supervise events.

    Eastleigh Pride needs volunteers to help us run our next event because it takes a lot of manpower to keep everything organised and running smoothly!

    Volunteers help us:

    • Set up fencing and equipment
    • Direct stall holders and performers
    • Man our shop stall
    • Provide information and maps to guests
    • Report suspicious or illegal activity to security
    • Tidying and litter picking
    Volunteering at Pride was my way of giving something back to our local LGBTQ+ community, and everyone was really friendly!

    Which jobs will I be assigned?

    We'll assign people jobs on the day depending on what they're comfortable doing, even if you can only spare a few hours.

    Everyone will be provided with a high visibility jacket and radio (if necessary for your role).

    Our volunteers usually work in small teams, and our staff are always close at hand if you get stuck on a problem.

    Where and when?

    Eastleigh Pride 2025 is likely to take place in September 2025. The dates are still being confirmed.

    Volunteers will need to arrive early morning to help us set up, and we will confirm the time and location with you in an advance email.

    You'll still get plenty of time to enjoy the event as a volunteer!
